Group .
The Reinforcements Branch supplies products for the reinforcement
of high performance composites.
It is built around two main businesses:
• Saint-Gobain Vetrotex produces glass strands
• Saint-Gobain
Technical Fabrics converts these strands into reinforcement products.

The Reinforcements Branch is growing fast
(+14% per year). We produce high performance glass filaments and use
them alone or with carbon, aramid and polyester to manufacture reinforcement
products for markets such as:
• printed circuit boards
• optical cable reinforcement
• wind energy
• transportation
• construction
• geotextiles (pavement)
• infrastructure products (pipes and concrete structures).
Our products are supported with strong brand names: Fibatape®,
Bayex Scrim products, Bay Mills Insect Screening, GlasGrid®, GlasLiner®
Composites Systems, Cem-FIL® cement reinforcements, TWINTEX®
glass/TP reinforcement. |
